It was such a blessing! It was so cold and indy and wet in the beginning that I had to do a reset and remind myself that the time and place could be special even if it wasn’t comfortable.
Walking in a heatwave is certainly one way to free yourself from the everyday, as familiar places become intense in strange new ways...
And thank you for the reference to iNaturalist. What a fascinating thing! I will investigate further. I am constantly looking at plants and insects and fungi and won during if anyone knows what they are. With some of the places I visit, the answer could easily be "No."
I think I will see what iNaturalist says about some of them...
How wonderful that you are investigating iNaturalist. It’s considered a good contribution to science (esp if you see creatures that haven’t been seen before) but I like it best as a way of getting to know our non-human friends better (assuming they’ve been seen before).
